We are a local pod of 500 Women Scientists whose aim is to serve the Champaign/Urbana community by making sure science is open, inclusive and accessible. Although we started with a group of graduate students from the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign, our goal to include not only the university community (undergraduates, graduate students & faculty) but also surrounding community members.  This group is for self-identifying  women scientist and those who support the 500WomenScientists Pledge. We invite membership from all those who consider themselves either scientists or science advocates.
